In short

A private boat trip in Sitges starts from €243 for 2 hours, €390 for half a day and €570 for a full day, for the whole boat. The skipper is included, nobody in your group needs a licence, and you board at Port d'Aiguadolç, a 10-minute walk from the town centre.

In Sitges you pay for the boat, not the seat. The skipper comes with it, the boat is yours alone, and the more of you there are, the less each person pays.

Here's what each trip costs from Port d'Aiguadolç, what the price covers and what's good to know before you go. Already know what you fancy? Every trip is on boat hire in Sitges.

Price for the whole boat with skipper, from the most affordable to the priciest. Per person: the most affordable one, full. ‘—’: that duration doesn’t run from Sitges. Reviewed in October 2026.

These are ‘from’ prices: the most affordable boat for each trip, always the whole boat with a skipper on board. Your final price depends on the boat, the date and your group, and comes with your options.

  • 2 hours: one cove, a swim and back. The perfect first time on the water.
  • Half day (3–4 h): two stops, longer swims and a snack on deck. The sweet spot.
  • Full day (5–8 h): the Garraf coast with no clock to watch, and lunch at anchor.
  • Catamaran: half a day or a full day. Send us your date and group size and we'll send you options with prices.
  • Hen and stag parties: the boat to yourselves, your playlist and a swim off the Garraf, from €335 for 2 hours.
  • Sunset: 2 hours as the light turns gold over Sitges, from €200 for the boat. Check what time the sun sets in Sitges and pick your evening.

What it works out per person

If there are only a few of you, look at the boat price. If you fill it, look at the price per head.

You hire the whole boat and split it. Here's the price per head with the most affordable boat for each trip, full:

Per person, boat full2 hHalf day (3–4 h)Full day (5–8 h)
Skippered boat€27€33€52
Hen and stag parties€37€45€58
Sunset€17——

Take half a day with a skipper: the boat starts from €390. Fill it and it comes to €33 each, with the whole deck to yourselves and the route your way.

  • Two or four of you? A smaller boat fits, and you don't pay for empty seats.
  • A bigger group? A larger boat costs more but can work out cheaper per head.

What's included (and what might not be)

Is the skipper included? Yes, always

Wondering how much a boat captain costs? Here, nothing on top: the skipper is part of the boat price. On some booking sites the boat looks cheap and the skipper's fee is paid at the marina on the day. Compare the total, not the headline figure.

What depends on the boat

Fuel, drinks, snorkelling gear or a paddleboard vary from boat to boat. You get it in writing with your options, before you book, so you can compare like with like.

What makes a trip cost more

  • The boat. A motorboat reaches the coves fastest; on a sailing boat the journey is half the fun.
  • The seats. A small boat and a big one don't cost the same, though the big one can be cheaper per head.
  • The hours. Stretching half a day into a full day buys you lunch at anchor and one more cove.

Good to know before you go

With a skipper, all of this is taken care of for you. Still, it's nice to know.

No licence needed

With a skipper, nobody in your group needs a boating licence: the skipper drives. You'd only need one to take the helm yourselves, and since 1 October 2026 that applies even to small motorboats. More in do you need a licence to hire a boat in Spain?

Where you board

Port d'Aiguadolç, the marina at the eastern end of Sitges, a 10-minute walk from the town centre. The exact pontoon and time come with your trip confirmation.

Room for everyone

Every boat has a maximum number of people, and the skipper sticks to it. Tell us how many of you there are and we'll suggest boats where everyone's comfortable.

Beaches belong to swimmers

Near the shore, the skipper keeps out of the buoyed swimming areas and uses the marked channels in and out. You swim at anchor, away from the bathers or in a quiet cove.

Slow in the marina, party outside

Inside Aiguadolç, boats keep to 3 knots, nobody swims and the music stays low. Once you're past the harbour mouth, the fun starts: on a hen or stag party, that's your cue to press play.

Sand, not seagrass

You're sailing in Costes del Garraf, a protected Natura 2000 marine area that runs from Cunit to Castelldefels. The skipper drops anchor on sand, never on the posidonia seagrass meadows: you swim, and the seabed stays as it is.

The skipper has the final say

If the wind or the sea turns, the skipper decides the route, or when to head back. And you're covered: hire boats carry accident insurance for everyone on board.

Our pick from Sitges

Not sure where to start? Half a day with a skipper to Cala Morisca, the best-known cove on the Garraf coast, 2.1 nautical miles from the marina as the crow flies. Time to anchor, swim without rushing and cruise back under the cliffs.

What about Port Ginesta or Vilanova?

Two hours with a skipper starts from €140 at Port Ginesta and €150 in Vilanova i la Geltrú, for the whole boat. Each marina has its own boats and its own stretch of coast: compare boat trip prices from Port Ginesta and boat trip prices in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

Frequently asked questions

Is the skipper included in the price?

Yes, always. The price covers the boat and the skipper together: the skipper is included. Some listings show a cheap boat and charge the skipper separately on the day: compare the total, not the headline figure.

How much does it cost to hire a boat for the day in Sitges?

A full day (5–8 h) with a skipper starts from €570 for the whole boat. That buys you several coves, long swims and lunch at anchor. Fancy a catamaran? Send us your date and group size and we'll send you options with prices.

Is the price per person or for the whole boat?

For the whole boat, skipper included. Divide it by the number of people on board and you have the price per head: the fuller the boat, the less each of you pays.

How much for a group of 10?

Skippered boats in Sitges take up to 12 people, and half a day starts from €390 for the whole boat, split between you. Tell us how many you are and we'll find a boat where everyone's comfortable.

Should we tip the skipper?

A tip isn't part of the price. If you've had a brilliant day and want to leave something, it's entirely up to you.

Can we hire a boat without a skipper to save money?

Only with a boating licence: since 1 October 2026, Spain requires one to hire a boat and drive it yourself, however small. With a skipper, nobody in your group needs one, and the skipper is already in the price.

Does it cost anything to ask for a quote?

No. Asking is free and doesn't commit you to anything: you decide once you have the options in front of you.
